So you think you missed the boat and the crypto currency trend has come and gone? To make matters worse, you could have been earning crypto with your regular business, but you just didn’t know where to start?
First, the boat hasn’t even left the dock yet and, as far as accepting crypto currency, we will help you get up and running in no time.
Where do you start?
If you have a WordPress site where you sell your goods and services online, the accepting crypto is only a few clicks away and will take you about 10 minutes to setup. If you don’t have a WordPress site, not to worry. It is pretty simple. We will outline the steps below and you should be up and running in short order.
Step 1: If you don’t have a WordPress site then chances are you don’t have hosting, so you will need to go set it up. The best sites we have found for WordPress hosting are below.
SiteGround – Free WordPress setup and good all around basic WordPress host. Very inexpensive starting at $3.95/mo.
InMotion Hosting – A little more expensive starting at $7.26/mo but they offer more tools and are also a rock solid hosting company with 24/7 support chat which is very helpful. Free WordPress setup is included.
Step 2: Install WooCommerce – https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/
Step 3: Install Bitcoin / Altcoin Pricing Tool (use this one as we have replaced example images and this one is ready for production) – https://whotakescoin.net/product/woocommerce-bitcoin-altcoin-payment-gateway/
Step 4: Install the GoURL Crypto Gateway plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/gourl-bitcoin-payment-gateway-paid-downloads-membership/
Author’s Note – We like the GoURL crypto payment gateway because it translates the BTC and altcoin price right in the product window. If you prefer another crypto payment gateway, here are a few of the best we have found;
Coingate is really flexible and growing. It is not quite as customizeable but a really good gateway.
Coinbase is solid choice. Again, not nearly as flexible but they have a WP plugin and are simple enough.
AlfaCoins / AlfaCashier is a newer coin gateway and they offer merchant services as well as exchange services.
Step 5: Finally, you are going to need a theme. You can find lots of WooCommerce themes here – https://wordpress.org/themes/search/woocommerce/
Step 6: Configure your site the way you want it, add your products and you are ready to start selling.
Please note that we have made the DIY process as simple as possible, but you will need a basic understanding of how things work. Also, we know that a lot of people don’t have the time to setup an ecommerce store. If you want us to help you, we are happy to answer any questions you may have and we can even set your store up for you. We are flexible.
If you want us to do it for you, here are a few options;
Option 1: We set up your eComm store for you with the domain of your choice on your own WordPress installation – includes domain name, hosting setup (1 year of hosting included – renewable at $79 per year – subscription required), WooCommerce install, 2 payment gateways installed including the GoURL crypto payment gateway and the WooCommerce theme of your choice. This does not include theme customization or product upload. If you need help with these items, let us know. This option is $249 including hosting or BTC equivalent and we can have it done in a day. Option 2: We host your products for you. No headache, no hassle. List your products in our store and we sell them for you.
